A six-person panel discussion, and it kept every voice straight. I stopped double-checking after the third transcript.

What Makes Thai Hard to Transcribe
Thai is written without spaces between words. A space marks the end of a phrase or a sentence instead, so where the spaces go changes how a transcript reads. For subtitles this matters even more: a line has to break between words, and finding those boundaries takes knowledge of the language, not just counting characters.
Thai has five tones, and the tone changes the word: ไม้ (wood), ไหม (silk, or the question particle) and ใหม่ (new) differ mainly in tone and vowel length. In fast or casual speech tones blur, so the right word comes from the sentence around it. Names and specialist terms are where a careful read pays off.
Spoken Thai ends many sentences with polite particles, ครับ for male speakers and ค่ะ or คะ for female ones. English loanwords are everywhere, written in Thai script or left in Latin letters. Years are usually counted in the Buddhist Era, 543 years ahead of the Western calendar, which matters as soon as a transcript is translated.
What a Clean Thai Transcript Looks Like
Three lines from a business interview, and what each one shows.
- Speaker 1
สวัสดีครับ วันนี้เราจะมาคุยเรื่องการตลาดออนไลน์กัน
The space after the greeting ends a phrase, not a word. The polite particle is kept, and it also tells you the speaker is male.

ปีนี้ยอดขายของเราเพิ่มขึ้นประมาณ 15 เปอร์เซ็นต์ค่ะ
The word for per cent is an English loanword written in Thai script. Numbers can appear as Arabic digits or Thai numerals, so pick one style for the whole text.

โครงการนี้เริ่มตั้งแต่ปี 2565 ครับ
2565 is a Buddhist Era year, which is 2022 in the Western calendar. Check dates like this before the transcript is translated or quoted abroad.
How to Transcribe Thai Audio
From a Thai recording to editable text in three steps.
Drop in MP3, WAV, M4A, MP4, MOV or any common format, or paste a YouTube or Vimeo link.
Auto-detection listens to several stretches of speech across the file. If the recording opens with music or an English introduction, or speakers switch to English often, select Thai yourself.
Read through names, numbers and dates, fix anything in the editor, then export SRT, VTT, ASS, TXT, DOCX, PDF, CSV, XLSX or JSON.

Other tools gave me a lowercase stream of words. Here sentences actually read like sentences — barely any cleanup.
No card, no tricks — I tested real files before paying and upgraded a week later because the workflow stuck.
Had trouble with a huge file — support walked me through batch upload the same morning. Rare these days.
Field interviews go in as MP3s and come out as clean DOCX with timestamps. My write-up time dropped by half.
Uploaded a two-hour recording during lunch — the transcript was waiting before I finished my coffee. The accuracy genuinely surprised me.
Our legal team approved it because processing stays on EU infrastructure. That alone ruled out most of the competition.
