Click Transcribe files, then drag your file into the window or click to select it — MP3, MP4, M4A, MOV, WAV and other common audio and video formats work. Check the audio language (120+ languages are supported), turn on Recognize Speakers if more than one person talks, and click Transcribe. The file appears in your list right away with its progress, and a short clip is ready in seconds. Open it to see the full transcript with timestamps next to your video. Your first 30 minutes are free, no card needed.

Click Transcribe files, open the Paste link tab and paste the link — YouTube, Vimeo, SoundCloud, Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive links work, one per line if you have several. Click Import files from link: the audio is pulled in automatically, so you don't need to download anything. Check the audio language, turn on Recognize Speakers if more than one person talks, and click Transcribe. The file shows up in your list with its progress, and a short clip is ready in seconds. Link import works on every plan, including the free one.
Click any word in the transcript and type — the change is saved automatically. Hover over a line to see its tools: play the line, loop it, split it at the cursor (or press Enter) and merge it with the next line. Every edit can be undone. Words the AI wasn't sure about are underlined. Click Words to review at the top to step through them: listen, confirm the word with Enter, or type the right one; the next word opens on its own. When you split or merge lines, the timestamps are recalculated for you. Editing works on every plan, including the free one.
Open your vertical video and click Style above the video. Vertical videos automatically get a Reels-ready layout — big, bold words placed a little above the bottom of the frame. You can switch to any preset, such as Word highlight or Single word. Under Layout, turn on Show Reels & TikTok safe zone to see where the platforms put their buttons and your caption. If the subtitles fall into that zone, you'll see a warning; move them up with Offset. Then click Export → Video → Export video to get a vertical MP4 with the captions burned in. On the free plan you get the first 90 seconds with a small watermark; paid plans export the whole video.
Open your file, click Dub, choose the language and click Clone the original voice. We take about 30 seconds of the speaker's speech from your file; tick the box to confirm it's your voice or that you have the speaker's permission, then click Create voice. In a few seconds the cloned voice appears at the top of the voice list — only you can use it, and you can delete it any time. Make a free 15-second preview to hear the same voice speaking the new language, then click Dub the whole video. Voice cloning is included with dubbing at no extra charge.
Open your file and click Share — a secure link is created right away. Click Copy link and send it to anyone: they open the transcript in their browser in view-only mode, with no account needed, and can't change anything. To turn the link off, open Share again and click Stop sharing — the link stops working immediately. Sharing works on every plan, including the free one.
Click Create folder, type a name and click Save. To put a file in it, open the ... menu next to the file, choose Move, pick the folder and click Move. Folders work on every plan. To share a folder with your team, you need a team workspace — it comes with the Business plan, for up to 5 people who share your minute pool. Click Team in the sidebar, name your workspace and create it. Then open the folder's ... menu, choose Share with team and pick the access: Can view (read, listen and export) or Can edit (also edit the text, translate and use AI tools). Your teammates see the folder under Team folders, and you can change the access or stop sharing at any time.
BlaBlaScribe is an AI-powered transcription service that converts audio and video files into accurate, editable text. You upload a file (or paste a URL), our AI processes it in minutes, and you get a timestamped transcript you can edit, translate, summarize and dub into another language. Export it as subtitles or text, as a video with burned-in subtitles, or as an audio file.
Yes — the Starter plan is free: 30 minutes of transcription when you sign up, and they never expire. Short files are transcribed in full; for files longer than 10 minutes you see the first 10 minutes, and the whole transcript opens with a minute pack from $5 or a paid plan. Starter also includes speaker detection, export to SRT and TXT, and a free 15-second preview of AI dubbing. No credit card is required.
Most files are transcribed in a fraction of real time — a 60-minute recording is typically ready in 3–6 minutes. Creator and higher plans get priority processing, which is even faster during peak hours.
The main differences are monthly minutes, number of translation languages, and collaboration features. Starter is free: 30 minutes, with short files in full and the first 10 minutes of long ones, and no translation. Creator ($14/mo) gets 600 min and translation to 3 languages. Pro ($43/mo) gets 2,000 min and 10 languages. Business ($99/mo) gets 8,000 min, unlimited languages and team workspaces with 5 seats. AI dubbing is sold separately in minute packs and works with any plan, including the free one.
For clean, single-speaker audio, accuracy reaches up to 99.8%. Accuracy depends on audio quality, background noise, and number of speakers. Strong accents, heavy background noise, or low-quality recordings may reduce accuracy. You can always edit the transcript directly in our editor.
BlaBlaScribe supports transcription in 120+ languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and many more. Translation is available into 50+ languages.
Yes. BlaBlaScribe includes speaker diarization — it identifies and labels different speakers (Speaker 1, Speaker 2, etc.) automatically. You can rename speakers in the editor after the transcript is generated.
Our AI handles specialized terminology reasonably well for most professional contexts. For highly domain-specific content (rare medical conditions, niche legal terms), you may need to review and correct some words in the editor. We recommend uploading a short test file before committing to a large batch.
We support all major formats including MP3, MP4, WAV, M4A, FLAC, AAC, OGG, WEBM, MOV, AVI, and MKV. If your format isn't listed, contact support and we'll let you know if it's compatible.
Files can be up to 8 GB and up to 5 hours per upload on paid plans. On the free Starter plan you get 30 minutes: short files are transcribed in full, and for files longer than 10 minutes you see the first 10 minutes — the whole transcript opens with a minute pack from $5 or a paid plan. For longer projects, split your file into parts or contact us about bulk processing.
On Creator and above you can export your transcript as .SRT (subtitles), .VTT (web captions), .TXT (plain text), .DOCX (Word), .PDF, .CSV, .XLSX (spreadsheet), and .JSON. The free Starter plan supports .SRT and .TXT only.
Yes. After transcription, you can translate the text directly in the editor. Creator plans translate to 3 languages, Pro to 10, and Business to unlimited languages. Translation preserves timestamps and speaker labels.
AI summaries automatically generate a short, structured overview of your transcript — key points, action items, and main topics covered. This is available on Creator plans and above and is especially useful for long meetings, interviews, and lectures.
Your files are encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Only you (and team members you explicitly invite) can access your transcripts. We do not use your audio or transcript data to train AI models. Files are automatically deleted after your plan's storage period expires.
Yes. BlaBlaScribe is GDPR compliant. You can request deletion of your data at any time from your account settings. We process data according to our Privacy Policy and do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
Yes, you can cancel at any time with no penalties. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period, after which you'll revert to the free Starter plan. Your existing transcripts remain accessible according to your plan's storage policy.
You'll see a notification when you're approaching your limit. On any plan, including the free Starter plan, you can buy a pay-as-you-go minute pack (100 minutes for $5) or upgrade to a bigger plan. Paid plans also get a fresh monthly allowance with each billing cycle. We never charge overages automatically without your consent.
Yes. Annual billing saves you up to $240 compared to monthly. Creator drops from $14 to $11/month, Pro from $43 to $34/month, and Business from $99 to $79/month. All billed as a single annual payment.
Yes. AI dubbing translates the speech and voices it in 27 languages — a natural voice for each speaker, or a clone of the original voice — timed to the picture, with the music and sounds kept. Start with a free 15-second preview of your own video, up to three per language.
Dubbing is sold in minute packs that work with any plan, including the free one: 10 minutes for $15, 30 for $39, 60 for $72 and 100 for $100. One minute of video in one language uses one minute, translation included, and the minutes never expire. The 15-second preview is free, and fixing individual lines is free up to twice the length of the dub.
Yes. Export an MP4 in the original language or in any dubbed language — or every dubbed version at once, one video per language. Choose the sound: the new voice with the original music and sounds, the voice over a quieter original, the voice alone, or the music and sounds without any voice. Subtitles can be burned in, from the exact translation or matched to the voice-over. The video is rendered in your browser from your original file. On the free plan, the export is the first 90 seconds with a small watermark.
Yes. Download the sound as M4A, MP3 or WAV: the original recording, the dubbed voice with the music and sounds, the voice over a quieter original, the voice alone, or the music and sounds without any voice — handy for a podcast feed or your own video edit.
Yes. On the free plan, video exports with burned-in subtitles or a new voice-over cover the first 90 seconds and carry a small BlaBlaScribe watermark and a 2-second end card. Paid plans export the full video without them. Subtitle files (SRT and TXT on Starter, every format on paid plans) are never trimmed.
