You can compress MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV, AVI, FLV, 3GP, M4V, MPEG, TS, WMV and other popular formats. The compressed file is always saved as MP4 (H.264) — the most widely supported video format.
It depends on the preset: Small targets roughly 30% of the original size, Balanced about 50%, and High quality about 70%. The tool shows the estimated output size for each preset before you start, so there are no surprises.
Small scales the video down to 720p and gives the biggest savings — ideal for messengers and email. Balanced keeps the original resolution and works well for the web. High quality reduces the size with minimal visible quality loss.
Some quality trade-off is inherent to compression, but the presets are tuned to keep it reasonable. For most videos the Balanced preset looks close to the original at half the size, and High quality is nearly indistinguishable.
Files up to 4 GB are supported for MP4, MOV, WebM and MKV. For other input formats the limit is 300 MB.
