I started BlaBlaScribe to fix a problem I kept running into at home. My wife runs an online school, and every new lesson needed accurate subtitles in several languages. Each tool we tried did one piece of the job: one transcribed, another translated, a third fixed the timing. Together they were slow, expensive and easy to get wrong.
So BlaBlaScribe does it in one pass: from a recording to a transcript, translated subtitles and a finished video, in one editor. It turned out course authors, podcasters, researchers and marketing teams were stitching together the same tools.
Before this I spent eight years designing enterprise software: consoles used by more than 1,000 Deutsche Telekom engineers at Netcracker, and platform tooling at Infor. That is where I learned to build tools people work in all day. At BlaBlaScribe I lead research, design and pricing and build much of the front end myself.
