English → Thai · timing preserved: Translate Subtitles from English to Thai

Thai is written without spaces between words and marks politeness with particles that English does not have. Upload an SRT, VTT or video and get Thai captions that break in the right places and keep the original timing.

What Changes When English Becomes Thai

Three things worth knowing before you ship Thai captions.

No spaces between words
Polite particles depend on the speaker
Vowels and tone marks sit above and below the line

Thai runs words together and uses a space only to end a phrase or a sentence. A subtitle line therefore cannot wrap at the nearest gap: it has to break where a phrase ends, or it splits a word in two and becomes hard to read. Line breaks are the most common flaw in machine-made Thai subtitles.

No spaces between words

Thai speakers end polite sentences with a particle, and male and female speakers use different ones. English has nothing equivalent, so the translation has to decide from context who is talking and keep that consistent for each speaker. A presenter who changes particle halfway through a video sounds like two different people.

Polite particles depend on the speaker

Many Thai vowels and all four tone marks are written above or below the consonant, so a line of Thai is taller than a line of English. Fonts without full Thai support drop or overlap these marks, which is why the caption style matters as much as the translation for burned-in subtitles.

Vowels and tone marks sit above and below the line

One English cue, translated into Thai

Thai runs words together and ends polite sentences with a particle.

  1. 00:00:01,500 → 00:00:04,000

English: Your subtitles are ready to download.

    Thai: คำบรรยายของคุณพร้อมให้ดาวน์โหลดแล้ว

  2. 00:00:04,400 → 00:00:06,200

    English: Thank you for watching.

    Thai: ขอบคุณที่รับชมครับ

Neither line has a space between words, so each one can only be broken where a phrase ends. The second ends with the polite particle a male speaker uses; a female speaker would use a different one.

English → Thai, Done Right

Thai breaks by phrase; the timing stays exactly where it was.

Breaks between phrases

Lines wrap where a phrase ends, never in the middle of a word.

Consistent polite particles

Each speaker keeps the same particle from the first cue to the last.

Cues keep their English timing

Thai lines inherit the start and end time of each English cue, so nothing has to be re-synced.

Reviewed next to the source

Each Thai line sits next to its English original, so a broken word or a wrong particle is caught before export.

One source SRT became six market-ready files with timing untouched. Our agency quoted two weeks for the same job.

Uploaded a two-hour recording during lunch — the transcript was waiting before I finished my coffee. The accuracy genuinely surprised me.

Our legal team approved it because processing stays on EU infrastructure. That alone ruled out most of the competition.

Seeing source and translation together makes QA fast. We ship subtitles the same day we cut the video.

No card, no tricks — I tested real files before paying and upgraded a week later because the workflow stuck.

Had trouble with a huge file — support walked me through batch upload the same morning. Rare these days.

Upload your English SRT or VTT file, or the video itself, and choose Thai as the target language. BlaBlaScribe translates every line with AI and keeps the original timestamps, so the Thai subtitles stay in sync with the speech. Fix the wording in the editor, then download SRT or VTT or export an MP4 with the subtitles burned in. Translation is available on paid plans from $14 a month.
At the end of a phrase, where a Thai reader expects a pause. A line is never wrapped inside a word, and you can move any break in the editor before export.
The speaker is inferred from context and the matching polite particle is kept consistent. If the context is ambiguous, every line stays editable next to the English original.
Streaming guidelines for Thai allow about 35 characters per line and two lines per cue. Marks above and below the letters do not count as separate characters, but they make each line taller.
Yes. Files are written in UTF-8, so Thai letters, vowel signs and tone marks come through intact in any current player.
Yes. Pick a caption style and export an MP4 with the Thai subtitles burned in; it renders in your browser. Choose a style whose font supports Thai and check in the preview that no marks overlap.
