BlaBlaScribe vs ElevenLabs Dubbing: which fits your videos?
ElevenLabs is a voice AI platform, and dubbing is one of its products. BlaBlaScribe is a transcription and subtitle editor that added dubbing, and its voices are generated by ElevenLabs. So the difference isn’t the voice engine: it’s how you pay, how much control you get over each line, and what else comes with the dub.

BlaBlaScribe: pay per pack with no subscription, review every line against its timing, and get subtitles and transcripts in the same editor.
ElevenLabs: 90+ languages, a lower per-minute price on a monthly plan, up to 32 speakers per file and a dubbing API.
Choose BlaBlaScribe if you…
- dub a few videos a month and don’t want another subscription
- want to see which translated lines run long and fix them one by one
- need subtitles, a transcript and the dub from one translation
- want a free 15-second preview of your own video before paying
Choose ElevenLabs if you…
- need a language outside BlaBlaScribe’s 27, or regional dialects
- dub many hours a month, where monthly credits cost less per minute
- build dubbing into your own product through an API
- also need text-to-speech, sound effects or music generation

Same voice engine, different product
BlaBlaScribe generates its dubbed voices with ElevenLabs, so voice quality is not where the two differ. ElevenLabs is a voice platform: text-to-speech, voice cloning, sound effects, music and an API, with dubbing as one product among them. BlaBlaScribe is an editor for transcripts, subtitles and translations, and dubbing is the next step after the translation: the same corrected transcript feeds the subtitles and the voice-over. If subtitles are enough, the video translator and subtitle translator cover 50+ languages.
Paying per pack vs paying per month
ElevenLabs bills dubbing in credits from a monthly plan. Automatic dubbing without a watermark uses 3,000 credits per minute, so Starter ($6 a month, 30k credits) covers about 10 minutes and Creator ($22 a month, 121k credits) about 40. If you dub every month, that is cheaper per minute than BlaBlaScribe.
BlaBlaScribe sells minute packs: 10 minutes for $15, 30 for $39, 60 for $72 and 100 for $100. They work with any plan, including the free one, and the minutes never expire. If you dub a course once a quarter or a few videos a year, you don’t pay for months when you don’t dub. One minute of video in one language uses one minute, and the translation is included.
Control over every line
A translated line is often longer than the original. BlaBlaScribe writes a voice script for each line to fit its slot, speeds it up slightly if needed, lets it borrow part of the pause after it, and flags the lines that still don’t fit. You see the fit of every line next to the transcript and translation, and editing one line re-voices only that line (see how it works on AI Dubbing). The exact translation stays in the subtitles even when the voice reads a shorter version.
ElevenLabs also lets you edit the transcript and translation and regenerate individual segments. Its strength is automation at scale: speaker detection for up to 32 speakers, automatic voice cloning with an adjustable similarity, and the same workflow through an API. Our guide on how to dub a video with AI walks through the review steps that matter in either tool.
